Three Great Websites

I got tangled up in the internet last Saturday, it took quite a bit of web browsing before I got free. Three new discoveries in particular kept me on the net:

Hot Stuff SongIt’s great to find that more great MP3 Blogs appear every month. Dedicated record collectors are using the blog format to share forgotten vinyl for downloading. Scar Stuff offers up many of the records I coveted as a kid, such as “Famous Monsters Speak,” “The Munsters” and “Harvey Singles.” I found more treasures on this one MP3 Blog than on any 5 others put together.

Frankenstein in colorI am a big fan of the classic Universal Monster movies…well, I’m a fan of a lot of movies. I know there are other monster movie enthusiasts out there, but I never did find a definative website where likeminded fans gathered…until Saturday, that is. Seems like they’ve been gathering at the Classic Horror Film Board. There are thousands of postings on an endless amount of history, reviews, gossip and conjecture ~ great fun.

Jerry Lewis double feature adAlso discovered is an incredible blog titled “Greenbriar Picture Shows: A Site Dedicated to the Great Days of Movie Exhibition.” The author is a lifelong film fan and collector. Each post features scans of ephemera from his collection and the history behind it. I found this site so fascinating that I ended up looking at every post to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
