In case you hadn’t heard, a “copy protection program” found on Sony music CDs essentially disabled and depreciated user’s computers. I’m thankful none of the DRM discs infected my PC, however, I had similar problems with a persistent DVD bug known as Inter Actual Player. Inter Actual Player doesn’t corrupt your operating system, but it is another “bonus” intended to limit your access to your disc.
This is my favorite article on the whole Sony disaster, as it not only lists the dangerous CD titles, but also includes instructions on how to override the corruptive program before it installs so that you can freely copy the CD! I found the link on Digg.
